Meet the owner

Monique is a nationally certified, state licensed, speech language pathologist. Although originally from Massachusetts, she has lived in North Carolina since 2014. Monique holds a Bachelor's degree in Child Development from Tufts University and a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from UNCG. She has international study experience including an undergraduate summer semester in France, and a graduate clinical internship in her family's home country of Barbados. She is a certified member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Monique has provided in-person and teletherapy speech and language services to children

of all ages in home, school, and community settings. Monique has additional pediatric work experience as a former middle school special education teacher, preschool teacher's assistant, and elementary tutor, prior to becoming an SLP. She is passionate

about helping children and families communicate and advocate

for themselves in their daily lives. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and son, trying new recipes, and traveling.
